Editorial Policy
Last updated: October 21, 2026
Gamology aims to publish gaming journalism and entertainment that readers can understand and trust. This policy explains how we approach sourcing, accuracy, corrections, independence, reviews, commercial relationships, and the responsible use of production tools.
Company and management
Gamology.gg is managed by Trendly. Trendly oversees Gamology’s website, editorial production, commercial partnerships, and day-to-day operations. Our About Us page provides more information about management and contributors.
Accuracy and verification
Writers should verify important factual claims before publication and use reliable sources appropriate to the story. Whenever possible, we prioritize official announcements, direct interviews, original documents, first-hand material, and reputable reporting. Rumours, leaks, and unconfirmed reports must be clearly identified as such rather than presented as established fact.
Sources and attribution
We credit the source of material and link to relevant primary or original sources where practical. Quotations should preserve the speaker’s meaning and context. Anonymous sources may be used when the information is newsworthy and the source could face a genuine risk from being named; an editor should understand the source’s identity and evaluate the reason for anonymity.
Corrections and updates
We correct material factual errors promptly after confirming them. Minor spelling, grammar, formatting, or clarity edits may be made without a correction note when they do not change the substance. Significant corrections should be clearly acknowledged in the article. Developing stories may be updated as reliable new information becomes available.
To request a correction, email contact@betrendly.com with the article link, the disputed passage, and evidence supporting the request. We review correction requests, but a request does not guarantee a change.
Opinion and reviews
Opinion, analysis, and review content should be presented in a way that makes its nature clear. Reviews reflect the author’s honest assessment. Access to review copies, preview events, or early builds does not guarantee positive coverage. When an unusual restriction or material benefit could reasonably affect how readers assess a review, we disclose it.
Editorial independence
Editorial judgments are not determined by advertisers. Commercial partners may support content, but sponsorship does not entitle a partner to undisclosed influence over independent reporting or reviews. Sponsored content, paid partnerships, and advertising should be labelled clearly where required.
Conflicts of interest
Authors and editors should disclose financial, professional, or close personal relationships that could reasonably be perceived as influencing coverage. Where a conflict cannot be managed through disclosure and editorial review, the contributor should not cover that subject.
Artificial intelligence and production tools
Gamology may use digital or AI-assisted tools for research support, transcription, translation, organization, editing, image processing, or drafting assistance. A human contributor remains responsible for reviewing the work, checking material facts, and approving publication. We do not treat an AI system as an author or a reliable source by itself. We do not knowingly publish fabricated quotations, invented evidence, or deceptive synthetic media as authentic.
Images, video, and gameplay
We aim to use images, video, gameplay footage, trailers, screenshots, and other media with permission, under licence, from authorized press materials, or where a lawful exception applies. Credits and disclosures are included where appropriate. Material supplied by a publisher or partner does not automatically determine our editorial conclusions.
Sensitive and graphic material
Gaming stories may involve violence, trauma, harassment, or other sensitive subjects. We consider context, public interest, audience expectations, and the risk of unnecessary harm when choosing language and media. Warnings may be added when content could be unexpectedly disturbing.
Plagiarism and fabrication
Plagiarism, fabricated facts, manipulated evidence, and invented quotations are not acceptable. Confirmed serious breaches may lead to correction, removal, disclosure to readers, and changes to a contributor’s relationship with Gamology.
Removal requests
Published work is part of the public record and is not normally removed simply because a subject later dislikes it. We consider removal, anonymization, or de-indexing requests when there is a compelling legal, safety, privacy, or ethical reason. Corrections or updates are generally preferred when they adequately address the issue.
Feedback and complaints
Our About Us page identifies management and links contributor profiles. Use Contact Us for business and privacy enquiries.
Readers may send editorial feedback, correction requests, or complaints to contact@betrendly.com. Please include the relevant URL and enough detail for us to understand and assess the concern.
