Team Spirit Scout OverDrive Denies Rumored $10M Bid for donk

Conflicting accounts surround the alleged Team Spirit bid. Earlier documentary comments and donk's competitive record explain the interest without confirming a transfer.

The reported $10 million approach for donk now has a direct denial. That leaves Team Spirit fans with two conflicting accounts of the alleged bid, while the organization has no publicly documented deal to announce.

Cybersport.ru reported on October 29 that Inner Circle owner Alexander Slobozhenko said Spirit had turned down the proposal. The buyer was unnamed. In a November 1 report from Metaratings, scout Alexey “OverDrive” Biryukov disputed that such an approach had reached Spirit.

The claim and denial, side by side

Source What Was Claimed Current Status
Slobozhenko’s reported account He says Spirit declined a $10 million proposal. The report identifies no buyer and supplies no bid document.
OverDrive’s reported denial A scout associated with Spirit disputes the approach. It is an individual’s account, not a published transfer record.
Spirit’s earlier documentary comments The organization has discussed interest in donk and its reluctance to sell. Earlier interest cannot verify a separate October bid.

The figure remains a disputed report. Neither account supplies a transfer agreement, and a claimed rejected offer would not establish an asking price even if it were confirmed.

Why Spirit’s earlier comments attracted attention

There is an earlier record of interest in donk. HLTV’s September 2025 coverage of a Spirit documentary describes approaches for the player and the organization’s reluctance to sell him.

That background makes the latest story plausible enough to attract attention, but it concerns a different period. It cannot settle whether the October proposal happened. Combining the documentary with the new rumor into one continuous negotiation would erase the central uncertainty.

The competitive record behind the interest

Donk’s reputation has a substantial sporting basis. Spirit beat FaZe 2–1 at the Perfect World Shanghai Major in December 2024. HLTV named him the event’s MVP and recorded him as the youngest player to win that award. He subsequently topped its 2024 player ranking.

For a team considering a sale, replacing that contribution would involve roles, resources and time to integrate another player. Those costs help explain why a large fee might still be unattractive. They do not supply a valuation: contract length, willingness to sell and the structure of a bid all affect a transfer number.

The material development here is the disagreement over whether an approach occurred. Until that is resolved, the $10 million claim belongs alongside its source and OverDrive’s denial.

The earlier documentary and the new dispute cover different stages of Spirit’s history. A club’s decision to retain a player in one period can explain its priorities without establishing which teams made later approaches. The present reports name no purchasing organization, leaving fans unable to assess the alleged buyer’s roster needs or how the proposed fee would have been structured.
